Hey Labour, how is that dog chipping legislation working out?
Tuesday, 01.05.2007, 09:32pm (GMT12)

We see now that yet more children have been brutally attacked by vicious dogs. How many more children have to be hurt before we bring in protective legislation.

While the whole nation is up in arms about smacking or not smacking, and arguing about whether or not it is having a detrimental effect on our children, 4 people have been viciously malled by dogs, 3 of them children, not to mention previous brutal attacks.

The evidence of abuse from a bite or attack from a dog is clear, it’s undisputable, it hurts, it bleeds, it’s frightening, it needs medical intervention and care, it costs the government money in health services.

This is REAL abuse, but not one politician has said a word about it, it makes a mockery of the anti-smacking bill, and the proffessed concern over the welfare of our children.

Vicious dogs continue to live in our society, and wander the streets and parks where our children walk and play, parents are legally allowed to own any dog they like, even when children live in the house, until such time that they do irrepairable damage to a child or adult.

  Too Late!
