Police now open to taking complaints more seriously?

Helen Clark Opens The Door…

I had occasion today to visit the Police, to lay a complaint against them and against a member of the public.

This got me thinking, thanks to Helen Clark and the recent investigation into the Police, one of the changes that has been made can really help parents seeking justice, provided you have the evidence.

The Police cannot now ignore any complaint made to them, if they do, you can lay a complaint against them. This was not always the case: one parent advised me that they went to make a complaint about the intervention of a CYFS Social Worker acting on behalf of the Police, and the Police refused to take the complaint.

If you have evidence that a CYFS social worker has lied under oath (Perjury) or misrepresented the facts regarding you in any way whatsoever (fraud) then you CAN lay a complaint with the Police.

I’m not suggesting we all go out of our way to make work for the Police, but this development is nothing but good news for all of us.

Even though I poked fun at them in the recent “site stats” article, I have nothing but the highest amount of respect for our hard working Police, who on the whole (given recent events) do a fantastic job for the people of New Zealand.
