Opponents of Sue Bradford’s controversial bill on smacking are planning to march through Christchurch and Wellington at midday today.

They are the latest in a series of protests against Green MP Sue Bradford’s bill, which opponents say will turn good parents into criminals.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Helen Clark defended the bill, saying it was perfectly plain that it didn’t ban smacking.

Andy Moore, the 20-year-old organiser of the Christchurch march, says he is trying to protect his rights as a future parent.
