This is a copy of an email CYFSWATCH sent to Barnardos CEO Murray Edridge, in response to his bleating about children participating in anti-smacking marches:

Re: Barnardos Press Release regarding children participating in Protests:

Hey Murray, tell it to the Greens, Global Peace Action, and rent-a-protest, who all have children participating in protests; get some perspective, show some semblance of balance in your argument – and then shut the fuck up.

This is the message we got back:

Please email the Help Desk at if you would like the email released. MailMarshal (an automated content monitoring gateway) has stopped the following email for the following reason: It believes it may contain unacceptable language, or inappropriate material.     Message: B0001d0c8c.00000001.mml    From:    To:    Subject: Attn: CEO Murray Edridge Please remove any inappropriate language and send it again. The blocked email will be automatically deleted after 5 days. MailMarshal Rule: Content Security (Inbound) : Block Unacceptable Language Email Content Security provided by NetIQ MailMarshal.
So, the expression of a passionate and heated opinion is now considered "inappropriate" in New Zealand?
Imagine pulling this bullshit in Australia.............
