Media in Bed with Helengrad HairiesTonight I watched 3 News and Campbell Live, and I was disappointed by the one sided and weak reports shown on both.

Firstly, 3 News stated that death threats against Sue Bratford had been posted on “A” website, and chose not to name the website, perhaps in an effort to prevent a surge in support, as occurred the last time the CYFSWatch blog site made the news.

In my estimation 3 News has reported more on the Fluty’s Puaua shell house than the publics discontent at government intervention into families and parenting.

A public opinion poll on CYFSWatch showed that 83% of the public supported the blog site, yet the issue disappeared from the mainstream media. Would the results of a public opinion poll on Bratford’s Bill surprise any of us, and would the media and the government take notice or ignore the results?

Then on Campbell Live John Campbell interviewed Sue Bratford, and not only questioned her about the threats, but also about her Bill which is about to be voted on by Parliament.

Bratford used the opportunity to further publicize “her” Bill, which is just another insidious step towards state control of what is left of our families; Helen’s Feminist Agenda.

One would think that since we live in a democracy and the media is expected to show balance, Campbell Live should have included comments by opposition, or at least neutral parties to the issue.

This is the clearest evidence yet that the media in Helengrad has been bought. It is official; Blog sites are now a more honest source of news than the state controlled slack-arses on television.
